  • Hospital Bags all Around the World!

I came across this article and thought it was fascinating to see what women pack from all different countries and the way they pack their items!  I truly enjoyed the reasons for each item as well the common items. Most moms wanted to make sure they had items to be comfortable because their main focus was going to be taking care of the baby. I also found it intriguing that for some of them they have to supply their own medical supplies for the midwife. Each mama is such a warrior and each journey is so special!

  • The moment you become a mom..

I don't think any book or advice can ever really prepare you for the moment you become a mom. It is such an indescribable feeling when you finally meet that little face that you have been carrying and growing inside you all those months. The first cry, the first time they open their eyes you realize that you did this and that they are yours. Your heart swells ten times the size because this beautiful little soul has entered your life. Motherhood is seriously like no other thing, your mind, heart and soul are forever changed in such a wonderful way. No matter what you will always remember that moment forever when you laid eyes on your baby or babies for the very first time. Becoming a mom is truly amazing.

  • As the end nears.....

As 40 weeks approaches so many things go through a moms mind. Labor and delivery, your newborn baby, what emotions/hormones will be like after, and most importantly this big change that is about to effect everything about your life. The house is cleaned top to bottom, the baby shower/sprinkle is over and the nursery is done. You have thrown some things in your bag but what's left to pack? My biggest suggestion would be comfortable clothes from home and a nice shirt for after delivery. The comfort of home in your comfy clothes will help you to feel your best after delivery. Most hospitals come around to take pictures of new baby and mom which can catch you off guard. When my daughter was born the picture lady came around and I insisted that I wanted zero pictures of myself and she said she would take a couple but they wouldn't be on the announcements. I was in frumpy clothes and no makeup, lol! Well about 2 weeks after she was born I received the announcements in the mail and due to an error there was my picture the biggest one on the front of the announcement! I was very upset at that moment especially from hormones but I decided to embrace it, I sent out all 50 announcements to all our friends and family. Now when I had my second daughter I was prepared, I packed a nice shirt and a little bag of makeup. This was part of my inspiration for the deluxe "big day" bags. When it's go time  and your rushing to the hospital/birthing center mom doesn't want to be without lip balm or hair ties for labor because these can be just as important as the delivering doctor/midwife. Now breathe easy mama, the end is almost here! :)
